In the wake of devastation caused by the bushfires that tore through Australia over the summer, REC – with the support of many partners – has developed a program to support impacted communities: REConstruct.

The REConstruct program aims to deliver community organisations such as sporting clubs access to premium REC Alpha Series solar panels and compatible inverters, fully installed, at no cost.

Approximately 50 systems, each of about 6.5kw*, are available, inclusive of racking and a premium inverter, all fully installed by a local, trained solar expert. The application process will be ‘low-touch’ and seek to avoid unnecessary bureaucracy.

The program aims to allocate all systems by end-2020, with installation to occur as soon as practicably possible. Where new buildings are being constructed, timelines will likely slip into 2021.
